Unlike most luxury apartments that conform to a developer’s blueprint, this duplex began with a bold decision: to challenge the original layout. Walls were moved, lines were redrawn, and space was not just organized, but liberated.

The most significant transformation occurred in the kitchen area, which was reoriented entirely from its builder-specified design. Rather than being tucked away, the new kitchen is acting as a functional hub that reflects both elegance and everyday flow. Custom cabinetry, stone counters, and seamless appliances are integrated into the architecture, making the kitchen feel like a natural continuation of the living space, not an interruption.

Equally radical is the approach to the primary bedroom suite. Here, the traditional enclosed bathroom, a standard developer provision, was broken apart both physically and conceptually. Glass, marble, and light replaced solid walls, creating a spa-like experience where the bathroom becomes part of the bedroom’s visual language.

Personal Symbolism and Identity Breathes Storytelling

Unlike a conventional design approach where aesthetics may lead function, this duplex was conceived with meaning at its core. The client's essence: name, and aspirations served as the basis of the design philosophy. The Chandelier – Symbolism in the Air

This notion of personal symbolism manifests boldly in the centerpiece: a sculptural ceiling feature that crowns the double-height living room — the chandelier. It’s not just a light. It’s shaped like a rose, a subtle nod to the client’s name, and the story we were telling from the very beginning. It sits right above the living space — the heart of the home.

Materiality as Metaphor

Each surface and finish within the duplex have been selected not for trend or convention, but for resonance. Viola Rose marble becomes the hero material, its soft base and expressive veining lending natural drama without overpowering the serenity of the space. This marble isn’t merely a design choice; it’s a tactile representation of the client's identity: graceful, bold, and unique.
